Green Coffee Beans

"Fresh ground coffee" has been available in supermarkets for years, and every week it seems they have a new range or blend in stock. Anyone trying these coffees will no doubt never purchase a freeze dried, jarred coffee again... ever!

However, the process of having the coffee beans picked from their cherries, dried, processed, shipped, packed and FINALLY placed on the shelf for the consumer is a long one, and every day that passes is another day your coffee has aged and lost it's flavour.

Sure, everyone says this, but until you've tasted fresh coffee you simply can't appreciate the difference in freshness when it comes to the aroma and flavour of the coffee.

Our recommendation? - buy a domestic "coffee roaster", roast your own coffee and save money each time by buying green coffee beans direct from green bean supplier (that's us!).

We source all our green coffees by farm or co-operate, and have relationships (and frienships) with farmers all over the world. Because we buy in large quantities, we can offer cheaper prices than almost any other supplier for the quality / grade of coffee we source. We currently have in some amazing green coffee beans.

From Sumatra:
Our Sumatra Blue Ling Tong coffee beans from Lake Toba is a real winner this year.

From Central America
We're proud to have an excellent El Salvador green coffee (near Lake Cuatepeque) in stock at the moment, which has been sourced from the Las Lajas Cooperation - a member of the Rainforest Alliance Conservation Group.

How do I roast my own coffee?
Buy a home roaster, order your green coffee, and roast away! Roasting your own coffee is an amazing experience, especially if it's your first time! Sweet Maries have a vast wealth of knowledge to assist you with the type of roaster you should buy, how to use the roaster, and "roasting profiles" you should use as reference to know when your coffee is roast and to which level. they also sell green coffee beans at good prices, however, they're based in the USA and have high shipping costs.
You can find all of this information here: Sweet Maries.
